A small atelier in Czechia where each piece is drawn, engraved, enamelled and fired by hand. You speak directly with the maker — not with a sales team.
One maker, one voice
I'm Šimona Vepřková, the artist behind ATELIER ŠIMA. Every commission is designed and completed by me. There is no intermediary and no outsourced production. That is why the number of pieces each month is small — and why every piece receives full attention.
The name is pronounced “Schima”.
Materials and process
The work is fire enamel on copper: powdered glass fused to metal in a kiln at 750–850 °C. Colours are applied in successive layers, each fired in turn. The result is a surface of glass — resistant to weather, rich in depth, made to last generations.
Where the atelier stands
The atelier works from Czechia and delivers throughout the European Union. Correspondence is available in German and English; individual conversations in Czech are welcome.
